Coaching
Summary: Coaching enables senior executives to benefit from highly customizable, one-to-one training
Coaching usually incorporates the following steps:
- Identify the goals of the client
- Determine the skills needed to achieve those goals
- Assess the client's current skill level
- Prioritize the critical areas where improvement is needed
- Teach the skill
- Practice the skill
- Repeat steps 3-7 as necessary
There are many advantages of coaching compared to standard training:
- Flexible subject matter
- Responsive to individual ability and needs
- Adaptable to pace of client development
- Customizable for specific presentations or meetings
Coaching can be carried on a flexible schedule to suit the client. Generally, meeting for between one and two hours once or twice a week is sufficient.
