Coaching

Summary: Coaching enables senior executives to benefit from highly customizable, one-to-one training

Coaching usually incorporates the following steps:

  1. Identify the goals of the client
  2. Determine the skills needed to achieve those goals
  3. Assess the client's current skill level
  4. Prioritize the critical areas where improvement is needed
  5. Teach the skill
  6. Practice the skill
  7. Repeat steps 3-7 as necessary

There are many advantages of coaching compared to standard training:

  • Flexible subject matter
  • Responsive to individual ability and needs
  • Adaptable to pace of client development
  • Customizable for specific presentations or meetings

Coaching can be carried on a flexible schedule to suit the client. Generally, meeting for between one and two hours once or twice a week is sufficient.
