Communication Skills
Attention
You cannot communicate with someone if they are not paying attention. The greater their attention, the more powerful your communication. Advertisers spend considerable time and money trying to attract our attention - even for a few seconds - yet many business people have never invested in the skills necessary to hold and attract attention.
The ability to attract attention has other benefits. A charismatic person who easily attracts attention is more likeable and influential than someone who can not engage others. Look at how speakers such Martin Luther King or, more recently, Barack Obama can attract and inspire while others use the same words with little effect.
In my training, you can learn why we pay attention to certain things more than others and how this behavior is built into our brains. From this knowledge, you will learn a series of simple ways of talking and behaving that naturally attract attention and create interest in others.
